The Department of Geology offers an approved Undergraduate Minor in Geological Sciences consisting of 25 hours of required courses in geology with Field Camp optional but strongly recommended. Acceptance Criteria: Minimum 2.0 in either GLY 101 Global Environmental Science or GLY 103 Evolution of the Earth and Solar System

Courses Required:

101 - 102 Global Environmental Science OR 103-104 Evolution of the Earth and Solar System
106 Geological Mapping Techniques
215 - 216 Soft Rock I and II
312 - 313 Surface Processes and Hydrology I and II OR 325 - 326
Structure-Geophysics-Tectonics I and II

Optional but strongly recommended: 407 Geologic Field Training
