Students entering the MS program are
expected to hold a BA or BS in Geology. Students applying with other science
or engineering degrees must have 12 credits in geology beyond the introductory
level and a Geological Field Course
or must complete these courses during their masters program. The MS advisor
may require additional prerequisites depending upon the course of study.
- The Maters of Science degree requires 30 credit hours of graduate coursework including 24 formal course credits. Required courses are determined by the advisor and the student which will support the student's research.
- Preparation of a Research Proposal
- Approval and Completion of a thesis
