Geology Research Links

 

 

Students entering the MA (non-thesis) program are expected to hold a BA or BS in Geology. Students applying with other science or engineering degrees must have 12 credits in geology beyond the introductory level, or must complete these credits during their masters program. The MA advisor may require additional prerequisites depending upon the course of study.

The Maters of Arts degree requires 30 credit hours of graduate coursework including:

  • Three credit hours from each of the following categories: Environmental, Volcanology, General Geology
  • Six Credit Hours of Geology Electives.
  • Completion of a project (GLY 501)

Twelve Credit Hours of graduate course work to be selected to support career objectives with the advice and approval of advisor.
